Gripset 51
Mixing Gripset 51 with Sand & CementThere are many advantages by incorporating Gripset 51 into a sand/ cement mix such as a mortar, render or screed, as waterproof properties of the mix are enhanced along with adhesion and tensile strength. Flexibility, salt and chemical resistance and sound deadening properties can also be improved with a Gripset 51 sand/cement mix. The sand/cement mixture is to be formed by mixing 3 parts wash sand to 1 part cement, then adding water to form a working mortar before the addition of Gripset 51. The greater the percentage of Gripset 51 added will result in a more waterproof and flexible finish (eg. 3 parts mortar to 1 part Gripset 51 will result in a water resistant mortar with semi flexible properties). For increased waterproof properties and flexibility, the volume of Gripset 51 would need to be increased. In contrast, for a harder finish, the volume of Gripset 51 would need to be reduced. Best results are achieved by using an electric stirrer, always adding Gripset 51 to the mortar. Features of Gripset 51
